So far,,owning my RX-7 is bliss,everything i've done to it as far as
service "sticks" you know what i mean ? I bought larger wheels
15's and some ok rubber,,and that car is glued to the road,I installed some aerodynamics "mariah mode four" and people don't
know what kind of car it is,,untill i tell them,,RX-7,,It rides awesome,turns killer,and it looks different,I feel the only thing it
"could" use is some more power,100 hp,,,is ok,,what would it take
for an 12a to produce 200---250 hp ??while at the same time still
have all the ca. smog crap and AC,,,I have a friend who owns a 86
2ed gen,,you know 13b,,,i know it has more hp then me,,but i'm
all over his car,,,i've been in his car doing 140 mph easy,,but
when we both get on it,,they are even,,it's a trip to figoure out,,,
these are great cars,and right on,,,man

 

a miracle! to be a smog legal 12a in cali i dont think you can do much at all.. if you want smog legal 250hp do a stock 13bt motor and ecu, a guy on mazspeed did that and he passes cali smog and has 260rwhp. you might be able to get away witha yaw carb with some emissions controls still on it and a header with a cat on it and make it look stock.. too bad you dont have WA standards 2 years you can swap the stuff back in or like me get a address for tabs out in the boonies so i dont have to worry about it at all

 

ok,,and putting a turbo on a 12a, ,,,,is a waste of money and time
if i remember right,,as comphared to a 13b engine with a turbo..
you know what i mean,,,the rest of the car works fine,,real good
it just needs more *****,
