Re-Speed front coilover

I just bought a front and rear re-speed coil over set. And I was wondering I know that the front has to have the front spring perch cut off and have theres welded on. I was wanting to see if you could use the factory spring perch if I trimmed the outer edge of it. I was just wondering and wanted to see if anybody that has these on there car could post a pic of them on there car.

The stock perch sits too high. You could move it down. I don't have pics of the perch but the coilovers are from respeed.

The street version does not require removal of the old spring seat. The race version does. I removed mine with an angle grinder, and had the new mounts welded for $20.00 same day pickup.

Good luck.

You'll notice the stock spring perch follows the shape of the bottom of the spring, whereas the coilover collar is flat on the bottom. The collar won't sit properly on the stock perch.
