Re-installing/replacing metal hatch trim?
did a search, but couldn't find anything relevant.
ok, so i'm about to get my windows tinted, but need to paint the little metal trim piece that goes along the bottom of the hatch. it needed a lot of sanding so i figured it would be easier and safer to just take it off. wrong! it seemed to come off fairly easy, but apparently in the process it got a little kinked and now when i put it on, the sides bow out instead instead of making a nice smooth bend to follow the curve of the glass. i've messed with this thing for about 2hrs now and can't get it to work.
i know i can't be the 1st person that's done this, do people normally just replace it with some kind of vinyl/rubber/plastic edge guard instead?
