PA Re-Crome Housings?

I've been wondering about this for a while now. Why can't rotor housings be restored by re-machining, polishing and/or re-chroming?

J.B.H. Performance advertises that they can refinish rotor housings. I think its in the neighborhood of $300.

they dont "re"chrome it they just lightly sandblast it and get em back to factory spec idk if they can refinish a superr chattered housing or not tho.
