RB holley 600 install

this is on a GSLSE if that matters

Just finished the install and having a problem...

does anyone have any idea why we wouldnt be getting power at the fuel pump? it was running 2 days ago so i guess it had power then. pretty much the whole engine harness is not being used now, the o2 sensor is plugged in but i think thats all. the water temp connector is not connected. all of the other parts aof the harness are not connected.

the battery is connected and the pump is actually getting about .5 volt, and it runs, but it doesnt sound good and wont get any pressure.

do you guys think it could have something to do with the AFM not being plugged in?

Can you hear the pump coming on? If not, make sure the pump is getting good ground (on the tank and if there are any ground wires for it). After your sure it's working, make sure you have enough gas in the tank to prime it (from my experiences, this usually means 1/3 of a full tank, and about 15 seconds of cranking ) And for good measure, make sure you didn't crimp any of the fuel lines upon installation of the carby. This should fix you up, good luck with it.

just go get a generic fuel pump from a autoparts store for a carb'ed car. they cost like 4 bux. for now bypass it and see if it starts.

also make sure you have all lines hooked up in the right direction to the pump, filter and by the firewall.

g'luck

i will feel like an idiot if thats all i have to do is crank it over.

i was under the impression that just turnign the key over to electronics only would prime the pump, if shane and i spent from 6pm to 3am tyring to figure out the problem, and all it is is just ot have to crank it over, i will hate myself.

yeah whats the fuel pump setup? if its not the SE pump you need to get a different fuel filter, and if it is the SE pump, you better be running a return style fuel pressure regulator
