Those numbers sound much more up to par with what I've heard before.

Both of these tests are with same emissions equipment and stock carb built to meet California emissions. I have no clue how my local guy came up with 90-97 HP. Wrong gear and high drivetrain loss? Wrong correction factor? ???

Conclusion (for me at least) is that the RB 2-into-one header gives 8-10HP increase of reasonably stock exhaust (without a cat in either case).

Noisy as hell though. Can't even think of getting in the car without earplugs.
thats better, wonder what was up with the other dyno?

i remember seeing some pro7 dyno sheets back in the day of 112-116hp. thats when you have a NEW (rotors and housings!) engine, new plugs, a pretty dialed in carb, straight distributor shafts etc etc, lots of turd polishing

enjoy it! should be a really fun car to throw around

And better yet, how do our cars feel so fast? I know it comes down to power to weight ratio, but if what you say is true even our power to weight ratio isn't great. Yet my car bone stock had enough to put me back in my seat on a twisty road or break my tires loose in 2nd gear.
Noone is doing 150whp with just boltons... lol his results sound RB typical. put a real header on that exhaust and port the 12a then you'll get 150whp.
I got 51whp gain making a total of 189whp switching out a RB header to a custom exhaust.

Thats pretty cool to know that we can almost double our power that easily.

For instance, I know that dj55 (sorry, don't quite remeber your name) with his ITBs and other full mods was at like 140 something, and he's on the stock ports if I remember right.
Dj55b or Sam, is running a Mazdee's streetport 12A with Fuji Racing ITB's, a megsquirt, an RB aluminum flywheel (which net him alot more rear wheel torque at the low end) and an SDJ header with a custom exhaust. Unfortunatly I don't remember his last dyno numbers, and I'm too lazy to find them. I know he has made at least 146 RWHP, but that was before the flywheel, and I'm not sure if he made more during later dyno runs. With a very conservative 12% drivetrain loss he would be seeing about 165 flywheel horsepower.

kinda old thread but hey i'm in there so I though I should comment lol.

I did about a 154 whp last time, and this was with mis matched injectors just before blowing the engine a few weeks after IIRC correctly. I'll be going back on the dyno soon and hoping for abotu 170whp
