Question RB exhaust ?????'s

Hey why does Racing Beat sell exhaust systems for 81/82 and then 83 sperate? What's the difference? I though 81-83 was all the same in that department. Can a system for an 81/82 fit on a 83 with little or no modification? Also what does RB make their exhaust out of? Is it stainless steel or what? Peace

I think its made out of .120 cold rolled steel. The flanges are typically about 1/2 thick

There obviously is a difference or they would have made them 81-85 But anything can be moded to fit. Or if you have a particular application of mixed parts contact them and ask questions... As lots of QUESTIONS, they sent me the wrong freaking flywheel!!!!!

The only difference I see is that they use the 81-82 dual inlet tube muffler for their street sytem and use the single inlet 83 muffler for their replacement Prima Flow muffler. Same muffle, different inlet.

I was told they pack Prima Flows with stainless. The one on my GSL-SE has been on for 6 years. The one on my REPU has been on 7 years. They both sound fine.

without cats, i donot think that you can pass anywhere.. but with a custom cat pipe, i donot see why you would not be able to (as long as you donot have to worry about visuals)

I have both systems running and I think the dual system sounds better. It has a deeper tone. More of a grumble than a raspy sound.
