Rat's nest removal: reduces idle?
After following the rat's nest removal tutorial by pratch and rx7carl, the car runs fine, but the idle was about 200-225 rpm lower than before.
I'd just adjusted it last weekend, to a nice 750. A quick turn of the idle screw put it back where it should be, but *should* I have had to do this; or do I have a vacuum leak somewhere?

It's actually more probable that you had a vacuum leak somewhere, and that you've eliminated it.
Vacuum leaks raise the idle, and usually substaintially.
You may have had a hairline crack in a hose.
