Sorry to tell you, they're nothing special. The Targa band is a part of the IMSA package that was available from Mazda as a dealer add-on/counter parts kit...
I have two Targa's for sale right now...
Is it the second one...?

Damn how much work, time and cost did it took to design that car that way? I mean, like what body kit was it use and how much fabrication and fiberglass was needed to make this car look the way it dose? I like the way it looks is very nice almost look like a new 1st gen but for 2005 lol.

How many 1980 10th Anneversary Editions were produced? (Celebrating 10 years of Mazda in teh US Market. Available in Red only... Came with a medallion that had a roman numeral "X")
There were 2500 1980 LS models produced. There were 5000 1983 LE models produced.

There probably aren't a lot of X AE's made, but I've seen several of those, and no Targas (the picture notwithstanding)...

The 1983 LE was a GS with Chateu silver (Kinda like a sea foam greenish, I thought.) and it had 14 inch alloy BBS style wheels.

But the '83 LE's were called GX's for some reason up here...
Weird, eh?

The AWD 1st gen was something Rod Millen built in the off season to counter the Audi Quattro. It was mostly an experiment and was done to a tube chassis car using 626 FWD parts.
In the end,he still lost to Buffam's Audi.

your right, here it is, i wonder if anyone else has done the awd conversion since. looks cool. theres also more rare looking cars on this page, but i doubt many would be more rare than spool 32s car,
that roger mandevilles car and spool32s car are so far the most rare rx7s weve got, but as for rarest production rx7. thats another story
