Wait a minute...were you saying that the sticker is on the underside of the hood itself? If so, then yes, mine is missing. When my car was 4 months old, a girl backed up onto my hood at a stop light, and I insisted that they put a new hood on it rather than try to repair the original.

My 1979 road racer is still the original Mazda Daytona Blue. I get a lot of compliments on that shade of blue; I don't know why they discontinued it.

the sticker shoud be under the hood. that would explain why you dont have your original sticker. did they replace the emissions stickers at all??

really? i hope they at least painted well under the hood. your car is too nice to have it walked over by a shabby job, even if it was 20 some odd years ago!

I can't believe you can still remember your second one. How many are you on now? 150th? lmao.

I had a Tornado Silver Mica FB, and I still have my White FB.

i saw an 80 GS on ebay with a color i'd never seen and the seller has a pic of the window sticker and the sticker lists the calor as "Indy Maroon Metallic". i've never heard of it or have never seen it personally. i dont know the paint code but the color looks nice. here's a link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1980-...QQcmdZViewItem

You should still have the VIN plate on the passenger side firewall that lists the paint code.

No...as stated before, the VIN plate does not list the paint code. This is a very early '79 (March '78 build date), so perhaps they started putting it on there later.
