GSL-SE's were only made in 84,85 and have fuel injected 13b's. the motor mounts are different between them and a 12a, but if you plan on swapping a 12a car to a 13b you can either buy custom mounts from mazdatrix.com or modify the 12a ones... search the forum theres a few links on how to do it. basically all you have to do is hammer it flat and open up the holes a bit more so the engine sits further back. i did mine with the sledge hammer technique haha and it worked out great thus far.

got mine from a '85 and went to a holley carb setup, so basically there is no wiring. you can do the same with a FC engine. but if you want to keep the EFI a FB 13b is much simpler but still a bit of a pain. also with a FC engine you have to change other parts of the engine, its not hard it you do the research but it can definetaly take some time and $$$

The difference is not in the mounts themselves but in the mounting points of the crossmember on the chassis.

86-88 FC engines will bolt up easily into the 1st gen body by using a GSL-SE front cover and oilpan.
The 12A rubber motor mounts and crossbar will work with minor mods as Paradox said,or you can find an SE front bar and right rubber mount(the left mount is the same on all 1st gens)
