I am helping a friend out with swaping a 13b-rew into his GSL-SE and was wondering what to do for ignition. The 13b-rew has magnetic pickups bolted to the front cover for CAS where as the GSL-SE used a distributer. We will be using a PowerFC to control the setup and was wondering how or what should be wired. We are swaping the front covers and need to know how to wire a CAS up for it to communicate with the ECU. Any help, suggestions, knowledge, etc... Would be great. Anyone out their that has done a similar swap into a 1st gen or 2ng gen could have some valuable input. Thanks.

 

Check the Hitmans sight . Do a google search for hitman fuel injection. Has some great write ups and a complete CAS diagram as well as coil pack wiring. Best CAS and coil wiring diagrams I've seen yet. Good luck

 

If your Power FC cant control spark timing,you can run the SE distributor/coils/cover and just back the timing off a little to reduce advance.

If it will control spark advance/split,run a 2nd gen CAS.

From what I understand,the Cosmo 13B and 20B engines run a 2nd gen style CAS,not the crank mounted mag pickups like the FD.Or is this an FD 13B-REW?

 

Yes the engine is a 13b-rew from a 93' FD
