ran my GSL-Se out of gas

Hey guys, needing some help here please. I ran my 1984 GLS-SE completely dry and won't run now. We filled it back up and think we have primed the pump back up. Do you have to do anything else like prime the injectors??? Any help would be much apprecaited. Thanks very much.

Spray some starting fluid or anything flamable into the TB, that should get things going.

:edit: Spray while you're cranking the engine that is :edit:

Agreed - based on the fuel system in the SE's, once you have fuel in the tank, the pump and fuel rail will provide all the pressure you need to the injectors to get a good spray pattern. The only risk is that by running it dry, you've introduced some 'bottom-of-the-tank' crap that has clogged an injector (you only have 2).

Get some EZ Start (spray can with Ether), and shoot some into your air bleed hose outlet on the tube feeding the TB. This will get it into the TB and where it can be burned. Crank it up and when it catches, DON'T give it any gas - the EFI system automatically compensates for idle and cold-start.

Give that a try and let us know what happens,
