Talking ran last night

well, last night was the first night at the track. it was in the 30's so traction wasnt to great, i didnt really spin much off the line, but i didnt want to launch too hard. anyways. i made 4 runs, and my best one was....

60' - 2.137
1/4 - 16.183
mph - 81.95

i ran another 16.1..

60' -2.311
1/4 - 16.153
mph - 85.09

i was impressed actually. i had a 3/4 tank of gas. i REALLY wanted to break into the 15's but i couldnt seem to do it. maybe next time i wont get a full tank the day before i go to the track

i was launching ~3500. i was trying to get it down, but im new to drag racing, and havent had alot of experience with launches.. the more i go, the better ill get though. the last time i ran, i rosted the tires for about 10-15 seconds, and launched at 4k, but that was the worst one (16.3)

none the less, i was VERY happy with a 16.1

If you're on street tires there's no need to spin them for 10-15 seconds. Drive around the water box and spin them around once or twice - just enough to get the dirt and gravel off. Street tires don't get any stickier by spinning them like slicks do. You should definately be able to get your 60' times down to the 2.0 mark and then you'll be in the 15s.
