Rally RX7
So I figure with the next RX I will get (it will be inevitable, c'mon now..) I will turn it into a group B rally car. Now, I have not seen springs available for the RX that sit it higher than stock, just lowering springs. Also, I believe I will have to run different shocks than RX7 units as well, might run something from a light truck.
Long story short, where can one find rally7 parts?

you dont really need to get "higher" springs. just get some stiffer springs that arent lowering springs, and try to take some weight out of your car by removing the emissions, bumper foam, interior, etc.. that should raise it up a bit in itself.
you could also try fabbing some spacers if needed. im buying a FB to rally pretty soon, putting snow tires on it- they work well for gravel roads etc, as opposed to regular/all seasons.

Im not sure but i bet you could n....uhh jimmy rig something like the 10" re-speed springs with a higher perch to work perhaps? not sure how that would help or affect the suspension geometry.

I think you mean you want a Rally RX-7, not a Group B rally RX7. Group B was disbanded in the 80's because wayyyyyyyyy to many people got killed in a short period of time. Drivers and spectators. Too much horsepower, narrow roads, and dumbass spectators standing in the way were the causes. And yeah as djessence said, you want as much travel as possible, so sticking with the stock springs will provide better control over something stiffer. Stiffer springs will cause the car to bounce instead of soak up the bumps.
Just want to clear a few things up..you don't have to hate it to Rally race it I am part of a team that races a FC in the NASA ESRC. Second My friend has a 91 Civic he rally's in the local SCCA chapter and won championship two years in a row in his class!! not that I like civics, just to defend my self. As for the tech side of it look into the rules of the class you wold like to run in and your pretty much going to need to fab your own stuff. On the FC we are using the RB Convertible springs for the different spring rate.
There was an RX-7 in the rally up here at school 2 years ago. The Lake Superior Performance Rally. The guy was a local and was looking to sell the car. Boy do I wish I had bought it. I wish I had gotten more pics of it too.

If you look closely at the first pic you can see me sitting at the wheel of this mean machine.

billy of respeed used to be in the rx7 rally world. shoot him an email.
that being said, rally is expensive. racing in general is expensive., but rally is like 3 times more than the racing.
im jut not into mudd, bump roads, etc.

Honestly I dont care much for how much it costs. I would like to run a few rallies with it. If i win or lost its all good. The cost of getting it running and in Group whatever are good for me if I win or not. I won't be taking it to major events, or whatnot. Just wouldn't mind having an RX outside of ITA. Lots of ISA racers out there (I give props to) but not a lot of GB I see of.
I love that wail tail style spoiler on the ^ yellow 7... 120mph plus in my old FC would make the steering wheel real light, I couldnt imagine what it would do to the FB.
