Raise brake pedal?

Having done a little rally, and TONS of sim racing, I've become pretty second nature with heel-toe and rev match downshifting... While it's certainly possible with the stock pedal arrangement and my gigantic feet, I don't always have faith in bliping the throttle because the amount of throw required to get any braking out of the car puts the brake quite far behind the throttle pedal. Haynes manual hasn't given me any insight on improving this... is there any way to adjust it at all?

There is an adjustment on the rod that connects the pedal to the master cylinder that provides a certain amount of adjustment whereby you can raise the pedal.
