Interesting.. I would how that all looks once installed compared to getting a custom shroud and mounting bracket made which is quite a bit more expensive. Pics when you're done!

Here are the promised pics.
One thing I found out, the coolant level sensor bung is too big for the stock 1st Gen sensor, I had to leave the plug that came with it in the hole.
You will need to "ground" the connection to keep it from beeping/and lighting up on your dash.

Installation picks
Well I completely forgot to post pics of the radiator after it was installed.
I runs very cool and have only have to turn on the E-Fan 4 times in the past 3 weeks.
The one bugger was the top low coolant bung was the wrong size for the coolant level sensor and needed to be plugged, it took a 1/4 pipe threaded brass plug, this is temporary untill I can find a suitable replacement plug with a proper shoulder for a good seal.
Thread seal from NAPA work great, I have used it on both coolant and fuel threads with great results.
Anyway, here's the pics.

Looking real good, one thing I can't tell from the pics is does it have the mounting holes for the oil cooler to hang off the bottom? And also do you feel it cools better than the stock rad? I've been looking for better cooling for my daily driver FB, gets pretty hot in the summer.

Yes, it has the thread mounts for the lower fmoc to hang below. Here is a pic of the mounts on the drivers side.
I cools really well, very happy with how well it cools, well worth the cost.

Just ordered my aluminum rad from the same people on eBay. They had it listed for $200 or best offer so I shot them an offer of $160 and they took it. Total came out to $205 shipped from China for that sweet *** radiator! Can't beat a deal like that. Someone purchase the last one they have left, can't beat this deal!!!

Hey just wanted to get everyone's opinion. I need to upgrade my stock radiator since I race my 12A. It is a 1985 car, but with the older non-beehive oil cooler setup. I am thinking about getting the ebay one you all got or this one from the same seller since it looks a bit bigger:

Any thoughts? $200 is just such an attractive price. I know I need better cooling than stock since she is getting dangerously close to overheating when I am pushing her on the track. Thanks.

Just worried this other one may not be as direct of a fit. I don't see a place to put the temp sensor that goes on the bottom, and would be curious if it had the attachment points for the oil cooler... I believe the one you guys bought has both from what I saw from the pictures.
So for the one that you guys did buy are you noticing it cooling the car better than a stock radiator?

I was exaggerating, but so far in the summer I was told from the person who already has this in his car that it hasn't even moved an inch out of cold. Right now with my stock rad it does the job but it has been starting to get towards the middle on the temp gauge.

I wouldn't say 5x better on cooling, but it is cooler than stock, price was right and it adds some needed bling to the FB.

Slammed, what is the overall height of the aluminum radiator? The one we got seems to be a short version, but yours looks tall? The sizes on the listing are :
# Overall size(in) approx: H15-1/8"xW21-5/8" xT2-5/8"
Ours is in fact H15-1/8" but that isn't the same height as stock, yours seems to be?

Not sure on exact height, but it's the exact same size as the stock 79-82 pre-beehive short radiator. FYI aluminum does not cool as well as copper. In fact copper cools almost twice as well as aluminum. The only reason after-market radiators are aluminum is because it's cheaper to make them bigger then making a copper one bigger. That's why stock copper radiators cost about $200 while you can get a bigger aluminum one for the same price. I really hope it's got at least 1 more row than the stock radiator or in absolute fact it is not cooling as well as a new replacement copper/brass one would have. Remember you might see cooler temps swapping one of these in, but the fins aren't clogged and bent, the tubes inside aren't clogged, and it's not 25 years old. lol
A 4 row aluminum will cool better than a 3 row copper, and be cheaper. That's why there is an after-market for it, but an all aluminum will cool almost half as well as its new copper counterpart. So, assuming that a stock sized aluminum radiator will cool better than a stock sized copper replacement is absurd. However, it should cool better than a stock 25 year old beat to **** about to die anyway radiator.
So buy away, but don't be upset when the chinese part falls to pieces in a few years then you just buy a stock replacement and the car runs even cooler. You can have custom copper radiators made, but be prepaired to pay areund $600 for a 3 core the same size as the stock 2 core 83-85. Eventually I might have one made for my car, but for now I run a stock FC radiator.
