Does anyone know where I can get racing parts(interior or exterior) for my 1985 GSL-SE?

Racing parts? For what type of racing, what sanctioning body, and which class? GSL-SEs are not typically raced, since they are rare and don't fit into classes with other (12A, carbureted) 1st gens. And, what do you mean by interior or exterior racing parts? Are you looking for appearance stuff or things that will actually make the car perform better?

FWIW, some of the major retailers are:

mazdatrix.com
racingbeat.com
rx7.com

I am mainly looking for looks. I want to redo my interior with gauges and racing seats and such. I am just starting to get into street racing with my car so i want it to look nice.

Ohh. You don't mean racing you mean "riceing parts". These are available at your local auto parts stores.

One of the major retailers is:

APC "American Pieces of Crap"
www.4apc.net

All kiding aside. Your car is made more for the autocross course than street racing. Leave street racing to the people with slow cars and fast ego's. I am not saying that all street racers are slow (they are around here) many of them could bet me, but I don't care, I have nothing to prove on the street. And if you are going to street race, please do not do it in the city, do it in the country or highway.

Find some friends where you live and go driving on the country roads. This is where the fun is.

Sunroof off, windows down, rotary whine in your ears, fighting to stay in your seat, this is truly a great experience.

No, you are just starting to get into street posing. If you were getting into street racing you would just want it to be fast.

Since you are just going to be posing, I will spare you any "Racing on the street makes you dumber than grass" comments.

If you were going to be street racing, I would open up a poll for how long it would be before you crashed the car and hurt some one, but since you are just street posing, I'll let it slide.

Seriously though, don't even try to open up your car until you have had some REAL (skid control, race school) driving instruction, or you'll be into a pole, or a family of 4, faster than you can say "Power On Oversteer"

Go easy on him guys. He's obviously in need of guidance, not flamage. Remember my sticky on conduct? Dont make me lock this thread.

So, your not lookin to street race, thats good. You want to dress up your car, theres all sorts of stuff out there. Look in the vendor sticky for aftermarket stuff. Street racing is dangerous and stupid. How would you feel if someone "street racing" killed your family cause they lost control? Its NOT worth it. You wanna be macho? Wanna smoke someone? Wanna RACE? Do it in a REAL race. Legal, sanctioned, timed event. Display your trophies with pride. (Im runnin out of room for mine)Theres enough real racing out there to suit any taste. Theres absolutely no reason to race on the street.

Relax guys.....

Anyhow to answer your question about parts check out those links that were posted.

Lighten up the car, slap the usual intake, exhaust, bump up the timing a bit, plug in a MSD 6a for ignition and you'll be in the mid 15's.

Later on port it, spray it, and throw a lighter flywheel and you'll have a nice performing car.
