quicky - 82 Vs 85 calipers non SE

I am about to take off the 85 gs brake calipers from my old car and turn them in as core for my '82s. The 82s are frozen and need to be rebuilt. The 85s I believe work fine.

What should I do??

I am looking at these prices:

$32 + 25 core at pepboy.. minus a employ discount of 20%, good to have friends.

Its freaking cold outside and I don't wanna freeze my hands up. Its bad enough that I work in a freezer all day.

Why not turn in the frozen 82s as cores? Cores just need to be rebuildable, not functional...

Besides, you really think the counter guy at Pepboys will be able to tell teh difference?

Edit: and because I forgot to actually answer the question, I believe the 81-85 12a cars all use the same caliper...

humm i don't know if they're the same ... but thye might not be because of the 84-85 had bigger axles, so not sure if they changed the calipers or not though.

A quick check of part number cross reference shows 81-85 12a cars using identical calipers...
