Quick Question about Air pump Mod
I've done the search about this, But theres somthing im not sure of... The tube from the air pump that goes to the ACV, What do i do with it? Do i hook it up to the 3 way valve, that one end is the air pump, the others are a dump and one to the acutators themselves? if so, do i somehow get the big tube to turn very small to fit on the acutators? (after the valve)
Thanks Alot!

I dont know ...i think i know who does??????...but take off you air pump and throw it in the pooper.
I think people are afraid of this thread because someone was talking about using the air pump as a sort of supercharger, and the title of your thread sound like you want to do that...lol.

you don't need to totally disconnect the airpump from the ACV. you just get a small connector and tap it into the hose that goes from airpump to ACV.

LOL, i Guess i should have got a better name for this thread! But anyways, Today i made a plate for the ACV just to clear up the space, but i don't think its sealing very well... Is this something i should take care of soon or will it be ok for now?
Now without cat im getting some crazy backfire and flames!!
Thanks again....

Well i drove the car home from my dads shop (about 20k) and i didn't really get a chance to push it or anything, but i did hear a hissing under acceleration.... Besides that everything seemed good. Now i just have to find a better valve because i used a crappy plastic one and it don't matter if its closed or not the acutators open up at 1500rpm!
Any chances the car would still pass emissions if i hooked up the air pump directly to the exhaust and slap a cat on there?

without a cat.... probably not.... Then again, i took off my cat, and my air pump, and the rats nest. And all i can say is that my exhaust will burn your eyes, and i woudln't smoke around my car with the choke on... *grin*

i had the same problem, make sure you use a new gasket and some good amount of gasket sealant. There are two or three vaccum hoses that go to ACV. So that would make your idle act pretty crappy and jump up and down.
