quick question

is there an advantage to not having the vacuum system on a 12a? Or is it bad not to have it? Cuz I bought a '84 GS and it doesn't have it. But the car runs perfectly.

The vaccuum system? Are you referring to the air pump and other assorted smog equipment?

i believe so yes. I've seen it on other rotary and assumed it was the vacuum system...guess that's not it. Anyway is it bad that I don't have it?

If you care about the environment (or your state requires it for inspection) then you would want to have it, otherwise its a lot of useless clutter that isn't needed. Assuming whoever removed it did a good job you should be fine as far as the car running fine.
