Quick help needed, running too rich

I have a 12a thats running way too rich, and I need to drive the car tomorrow (it was bad enough my eyes were watering) Is there any easy way to adjust the mixture? One thing strange about it is the choke isnt attached, would this cause it to run rich even when it was warmed up? Thanks for your help.

The mixture screw is about midway on the bottom of the carb driver side. If you know what you're doing that should help. If not ask for more help. "Too lean, too long, too bad!" those are words to live by. Hope that helps as it could be a variety of things causeing it to run to rich.
