questions on s4 turbo 2

I recently acquired a s4 turbo 2 engine (in prices) and I want to put it in my fb but I don't have the ecu and turbo or wiring harness so I was wondering if I could run a carb setup on it with no turbo. I know the t2 engines have low compression rotors so could I put gsl-se rotors in it and just a street port with a carburetor?

Yeah, you could do that. Racing Beat makes a manifold with the right intake port configuration and mounting bolt pattern for an 86-92 T2 engine. Then you can run a Holley or Edelbrock. Pretty easy swap.

^Yeah, that is the response you're probably looking for.

My buddy runs a S5 TII engine N/A right now - username 82transam. All he did was use an N/A exhaust, manifolds, injectors, and ECU if I am remembering correctly.

Turbo 13B is 4 port, old school 13B is 4 port.

Will a carb manifold of an old school 13B mounts straight up to a Turbo, or is modification needed?

Mods needed. No injector holes etc.

its a different bolt pattern, but if you look there are the same manifolds available for the T2 pattern.

A GSL-SE Racing Beat upper 2 barrel manifold can bolt up to a lower stock TurboII with a small amount of port matching. Very tall set-up though. I had to lose the stock motor mounts and use shaved hockey pucks btwn large washers to avoid hitting the hood, which then made my shroud need a little trimming to avoid hitting the fan.
