Questions about wheel bearing, axle, and rotor.
Alright, I have a 1982 GSL and from what I've read here I think it has a problem with the left wheel bearing.
When I'm driving straight and swerve to the right it makes a rubbing noise. But it also makes the same noise when I'm driving slow and apply my brake, usually after turning.
I took out the left axle to replace it, becuase the guy who sold me the car gave it to me with an extra rear end and 2 axles and rotors and I was just going to put in the other axle. When I took the axle out I couldn't remove the 2 screws that were holding on the rotor. The heads were stripped and looked a lot newer than stock.
After I couldn't replace it I just kneaded grease into the bearing to the best of my ability, stopping the noise for 2 days.
My questiosn are:
1) Is it my wheel bearing thats making the noise
2) What size are the bolts that hold the rotor to the axle
I think that's it
Thanks Rotorheads!

It could well be the wheel bearing or you might have a bent axle. The rear wheel bearings are sealed so pushing grease into it won't do much. Try getting some vice grips onto the stripped screw head or just drill it out.
