Question for the TII swap guys (water pump housings)

Hey guys,
I'm in the process of just getting the final touches for my S5 engine build. I have been throwing around ideas for what water pump housing I am going to run. I would like a housing that has the fewest aux outputs. The S4 N/A housing I have been told is the simplest.

Will the S4 N/A water pump housing work with a GSL-SE front cover or will there be clearance issues?

I don't know. I think their might be a difference for the N/A style ones, but I could be wrong. I used an aluminum TII waterpump housing, and the stock FB outlet.

Don't have any experience with the S4 setup, but I had to trim the S5's water pump housing a bit here and there in order for it to clear the SE front cover. Nothing major, I can't imagine the S4 is that much different.
This is perhaps an obvious statement, but the NA water pump housing is missing the fitting for the coolant return from the turbo, so you'll need to do something about that...

I used a S4 TII Waterpump housing with a 12A front cover. There was an interference in one spot. I ground a small flat on each part to divide the difference of interference and then all was good. Silly puddy is good for telling when you are done.

Yea that is one of the main reasons I want to go with a NA housing, I am using an aftermarket oil cooled turbo so I have no use for the coolant return.

i went with the S4 TII housing for the coolant fitting that leads to the turbo.
