Talking Question obout 6 port engine.

On my SE i installed a full custom made 2 1/2 inch exaust that i welded myself from the headers back. The only thing that i kept was the stock cannister just to make it look stock. this is where my question comes in i took out the cat and basically it just running "strait pipes" with the exeption of the stock canister. when i removed the cat it had a metal line running back 2 the engine, i did not want the trouble of welding it back on so i just deleted it and left open the openings at the engine. i read somewere that that was used to contrlol the opening of the port valves or something like that and With out this i loose some power. but the car runs fine and it semes like its got plenty of power and has no problem running up to 8K. but Knowing this has me worried that my car can break or that its not running to its full potential.
will apreciate any advise thanks.

*edit* Nevermind I think I misunderstood your post. Are you referring to the metal line that runs to your air pump from your cat?

You could always close off the 5th and 6th ports and just have a 4 port 13B.

That line you are refeering to is the supply line for backpressure to activate the actuators.
You are not utilizing the potential of the engine by having them not work. You can either just wire them open. Some people have stated that they have lost some bottom end by doing so. Personally I could not feel any difference. There was also some info on how to tie in a line using the air pump for supply pressure.
Use the search function at the top of the page and use the key words. 6 port actuators. It should give you the info that you are looking for. And welcome to the forum.
