a question and a favor!!!

question: how do i raise the idle on my 83?

Favor: PLEASE!!!! go outside and measure the length of the 2 pipes on your 12a header, i think they are called primearies. im gonna make my own header, but i was told that length was very important.

Idle speed and idle mix screws. Red one is mixture, yellow one is idle speed.

The pipes should be equal length.

The yellow one, by the way , is VERY hard to get at ... use a long flat screw driver and some patience, you'll get at it ... turning left idles higher, and tightening idles lower ...

I wanna say 26" X 2" ID primaries are a good compromise for serious street duty...3" X 2.5" ID collector
