It came with the first owners name on it , I'm a third owner and the decal is not on the car, so I haven't seen what it actually looks like

It was a sheet of self-adhesive letters you peeled off and stuck on the car.
I still have them never used in the original package they are silver in what I would call script font

I'll see if my friend Pete (85rx7gs) can get a pic of it. He has 2 79 LE's, one is missing it, the other one he just picked up still has it. Goes on the dash right above the glove box and has the name of the original owner on it.

I know it's just a brochure or ad out of a mag, but the illustration only shows a drivers side mirror. Far as I know, they all had a passanger side one too.

technically on paper, the RX-7 didn't receive the second mirror until 1980..the publictions for the 1980 10AE and the 1980 LS never mention dual power mirrors but they have those as well...kinda funny the way mazda does stuff sometimes you know?

FYI: Only the first 1200 (ish...) models for import did not have the passenger side mirror. Technically, by "american build date" standards those would be 1978 models... But they're still titled as '79s.

Here's a pic of that emblem from the dash of my 2nd LE. Thank God the original owner and the subsequent owners left it on the car. Enjoy!

Someone should make those. It shouldn't be too hard.

I agree. They look like they could be easily replicated by a jeweler or someone who does engraving. The text isn't anything special. Maybe I should look into that
