question

i drove the 7 last day and was having trouble shifting specialy in revese, it just grind, i have to wait about 3 sec to engage. what could be, the clutch. i hope is not the tranny. and yeah that was before i garaged it. thanks.

your not still moving forward a bit while trying to shift into reverse? (should be completely stopped first) that's the only thing I can think of..

completely stop grind! goin foward some time it miss shift like from 1st to 2nd or from 3rd to 4th evend in 5ft gear. it just some time don't want to go on gear.

Is your clutch disengaging properly? Are you loosing any clutch fluid?

i check that, theres no leak and theres no air ethier. i hear that the pilot bearing fail alot on first gen, it could be that.

My '83 does that. I've gotten used to it. The best way to avoid the grinding is to get to a complete stop(but even then sometimes it still grinds a bit).

My 83 did that as well, just come to a stop and shift into first then put it in reverse. Works every time, if not there must be another problem.
