Q. S5 alternator in sa/fb

So I had my alternator wired properly but the place I stored it cut and rewired things. Its been awhile since I last worked on it so I forgot where goes where. I'm going to be rewiring them and wanted to be sure its done right. So....

B (post) is wired to the battery(know for sure)
S wired to the under hood fuse box...?
L wired to the dash connection.. Right?

I'm confused about the s and l wires and a lot of my 1st gen harness was eliminated so I only have the plugs. Which wire color is the proper connection to the required dash? I'm either going to make the appropriate male or female plug to have it work.

Appreciate the help

^what he said, make sure S goes to a constant 12v source, easiest is to simply put a ring terminal on it and put it on the alternators post. If you don't do this the battery will go dead after a few days on you....
