So I pulled this off of my 1980 12a engine. It looks just like a purge valve except its got 3 hoses running from the bottom. every image and vacuum diagram I have looked at shows the purge valve with 2. So is this a purge valve? if so how do I plumb up my crankcase venting correctly without the rats nest?

 

may help to have a pic with it on the/near the point you pulled it off the motor?? so we have a reference point of mounting
Is your SA a California-origin car by chance? their emissions a bit diff than rest or US cars.

It could be from cali, your guess is as good as mine since I received the engine already pulled from the car.
