Pump flooding carb at idle?

well, i got my carter pump installed with my holley regulator, only problem is i dont know which regulator i have, or what pressure i'm running.

on the regulators, screw turned all the way out is min pressure or max pressure?

cause it wont idle worth **** with the choke off, and wont run at all with the choke on, so i'm guessing there's way too much pressure causing it to run and then flood, making it very hard to start again.

Get a gauge. IIRC out is min pressure.

yeah, i'm working on getting a gauge, and i figured it out, i turned it all the way out, it started to idle, then it would stumble ever 10 seconds, so i upped it a bit, smoothed out to perfect, went a little farther, and then it started to buck a little, so went back to the sweet spot... idles like a baby sleeps at 800-900 rpm.
