Pulling the motor

Does any one know if when I pull my 12a will I have to split it from the tranny or can I pull it all as one?

You can pull it as one whole unit. However it is easier to slpit the two IMO. I have done it both ways.

Make sure that you tie up the tranny so that it does not fall when you pull the engine out of the bay.

I find it is easier to re-install them together, and I have a pit to work in. I pull the tranny with the motor.

Pull the shifter out, makes its easier. I've always pulled them as a pair.

It is alot easier to pull them both, cause when you get it out its is alot easier to line up the spines on the trans with it out.
