pulled SA out of storage, run fine but bunrt coolant?
I pulled the SA out of storage yesterday, started right up, ran and sounded fine. but as the motor approached op. temps, the thermal reactor began smoking, rather heavily, and reeking like coolant. The coolant level was lower than it was when I put it away, but not by too much. I turned the car off and on to try to find the source of the smoke. After I turned the motor off, smoke came out of the air filter intake. After re-starting twice and adding coolant, zero smoke. Ran fine for the rest of the night and the ride to work this morning (~100 miles total).
I'm not too worried, but how did coolant escape the system during storage and wind up in/on/near the reactor?

The coolant passage O-rings between the intake and the 'block' have dried and cracked. It happens all the time. I removed the carb with a wrench cut in half, then remove the intake and replace the orings, or modify the passage with coolant block off method (something about quarters and gasket sealer, its searchable).
You will need an intake gasket, the o-rings or quarters and gasket sealer, the half of a box wrench, and small hands. It is a messy job, gl2ya.
