Don't put high test in. Rotaries have a larger combustion chamber, and thus a slightly slower combustion time. As I understand it, octane prevents pre-ignition, and you don't really want a gas that's *harder* to burn in your rotary. When Mazda used to race them, they burned 83 octane... the lowest you can find around here is 87, but get yourself some gas from a quality station, lower octane.

For the bees, I wouldn't suggest running the car until you take the exhaust system off and clean it out. If they're as far as the cat, you've got a problem, you might need a new exhaust. DON'T just try and burn them out, the charred remanants of bees will not do good things to you.

How long has the car been sitting? There's lots to consider when you're restoring a sitting rex, I know because I am restoring one right now.

Post any more questions you have, or e-mail me @ vipernicus42@hotmail.com

are the bees in the exuast alive? cus they will fly out the minute u turn on the engine with all the fuse and smoke.. if there no longer with us then just pull of the exuast and give it a good shake..

shoot... I'd love to see all those bees shoot out the exhaust!!! If you do an ATF treatment, they should all die... too much smoke.

Just be very careful, it shouldn't really hurt to start it up with'em in there, we cleaned a mouses nest outta the corvette by starting it and revving it, was freakin hilarious, till had to scrape charred guts off the wall, just don't get stung.
