What Mine Will look like when finished.
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...&postid=565027 This is a Widebody 1st Gen in Crispeed's shop. With a 93 Engine.. It is beautiful. The pics do NOT do it justice. The Body is Custom, so don't ask. I have and got nowhere. |

Oh... UNGHHHHHHHHH....
(so sexy, so so sexy) Well thanks now I have to change my pants... God Damnit... cheers' |
The intake ports may be big but the exhaust ports are what kick our ass. Those things look damn restrictive, why did they have to put those boxy looking exh sleves in there!?
How do you know it's a 95? Whats your SN? Mines E084025 Oh yeah, and thats a nice looking 1st gen :) |
Ok so you guys see how low that motor is in the engine bay?
See if you look at my pictures the top most part of the cosmo intake manifold is right under the hood release... Thats what I meant about dropping the engine another 1/2" to 3/4" down towards the ground after the intial 3/4" forward for the difference of the wider block... Looks good tho, now I have another guinea pig besides setzep :) By the way my engine number is E043215 |
car looks beutiful.. intake does too..
have fun with that monster |

I knew that, but are they really perched that much higher?
Also the exhaust ports look to be a left and a right. But mine look the same... See on the top of my block on the spark plug sides it has R's on both housings. I wonder if you block is actually a F and a R ? |

Mines E084025 Oh yeah, and thats a nice looking 1st gen :) I agree, they look smaller. My Tuner says Mazda always experimented with the cosmo engines. These supposedly offer more torque. I dunno why. Maybe because of the Luxury Car thing. Setzep, Where is the SN? I am not sure where to look. The engine is at the shop, so I'll have to wait till I go back. I am still not sure if I want to open it up and port it from the get go, than wait for it to eventually "go". Compression is VERY high on it though.. |
Wow
With all these 13B-RE 1st-gens we're gonna be hunting bigger prey than usual... Like me hunting down this DSM!
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...&postid=565187 (okay it was just an excuse to use this cool pic I took last fall and just found 10 minutes agol :) yes that is the low 8 second Buschur car) |

As far as the F and R goes, rotorhousings are pretty much the same, only the rotors themselves cannot be swapped. This is my understanding. |
The serial # is located on the front of the block, its the front housing in front of the rotor housing.... just directly behind the water pump housing.
|
it is not going to take a 13b re for me to start hunting them.. i am already hunting mustangs. tsi dsm's will be my next prey once i get a new carb
|
Rotor housings may not be swappable for emissions port reasons, however all 13B rotors are swappable front to rear! It's only the late 12A rotors that can't be swapped because they have asymmetrical dishes.

Originally posted by Directfreak I will be putting in 3rd Gen Exhaust sleeves in it. I agree, they look smaller. My Tuner says Mazda always experimented with the cosmo engines. Compression is VERY high on it though.. The s/n is stamped on the top of the front iron and should start with a "E". If you know your's is a 95 I'd like to see what your # is to try to guess what year mine is. |
