It's true, she is dead. Lost compression on the front rotor. But now I get to port it over winter, and have larger exhaust sleeves put in, so there is good news, and next year it will be even nicer
I'll try to get some nicer higher rez pix and post before I pull the engine. the camera phone really does it no justice....

In northern ohio. all rotaries require over the winter work. you pushed the envelop and had a running car before winter. Fate stepped in and acted accordingly. lol

I think this might be true. My 207k mi junk is still running strong and refuses to die in the face of brutal torture and skin/bone cancer. In sympathy, my friend's sweet "the fenders have corners!" '79 S-model with 50k on the clock ate the rear rotor.

WHY, ROTARY GODS? WHY???

(how did I miss this thread before?)

Can you please provide details on how you mounted the radiator at that angle. I would like to do the same while I have my engine out.

That just looks scarey! The whole front garage covered in rotor parts. Has Max been around lately? His site has not been updated in years, I woud love to see all this on there.

Back from the dead with Ver 2.0, hehe

Not using the Auto setzep, but it was talked about. hehe

Thanks teddy

John, after the engine blew I was a bit bummed and set the 7 aside and spent the last 6 months building a home theater in my house, 92" HD Projection, decked out audio/computer setup and a full wet bar. still not finished but close.
Trborty just put in his massive new motor in his 2nd gen and I got the bug again. Wed July 4th there was no engine in mine. today all it needs is the fluids, hehe. amazing what 10hr days will do. hoping to make the 7/7/7 meet in Columbus Ohio.
I need a nap!
