I should have saved this whole topic so I could have pasted it onto this forum.

I just finished disassembly of the 12A in my 85' GSL. Click the link for some decent pictures of a pretty messed up engine. Heh.

I bought the car not-running. From what the guy told me he was on the interstate and the motor just let loose. He drove it all the way back home after it happened so that was all the worse. I enjoyed the experience of tearing it down, though. Answered a few questions and sparked a lot more.
