Problemo: less power at more throttle.

Hi I've been having a strange issue lately. My 7 has been running better/more power with the throttle less open. If I ease the gas a tiny bit, it seems to pull better than if I give it more. It also makes a raspy sound like the god of wind is in my engine or something. I think the secopndaries might be opening early and leaning me out??? I dont know, im gettin a new carb soon anyways but maybe this is something not carb related????more question marks??

i would like to say its lean, hard to tell that over the internet. i'd suggest the starting place is a test of the fuel pump, volume flow test, its easy and its under 5 min

Low fuel pressure or clogged jets... Start by changing the fuel filter if you haven't already. Good luck.

I have a new hypothesis on this issue. The hissing may be exhaust gas coming out of places it shouldn't. I believe I may have a clogged cat (all 3 original cats). Evidence of this is: my last rx7 lost it's muffler and it literally hurt my ears, I've been driving this one around with no muffler and it just sounds like a fart can was installed or something. This would explain the lack of power and hissing noises. I was quick to blame my fuel systems because of all of the **** I've been through with them.
Is this a reasonable hypothesis?
