Since you are new, welcome to the forum and the 'Dark Side'

The following is a link to the FAQs at the beginning of the 1st gen section, Spend some time reading, searching, researching and familiarizing yourself with your car. Most questions that can be be asked and answered, have been. We now have 100 pages of threads from which to glean knowledge.

When you get stuck, ask.

As a partial answer to your question, the secondaries are vacuum operated and only open under load. If you are dying to see them open, take the hood off, park yourself on the fender and have a friend drive. Under hard acceleration, you should see them open up.

Yes. I'm being a smarts ***, don't take it personally, were a pretty decent bunch here and poke fun at each other and ourselves.

Welcome man, as Scott said, search first every time it will save you getting slammed by the old hands.

Your problem does sound like a secondaries issue, do a search, button is at top right of page below the RX7club banner

Anybody else wondering if his "teeter totter" thingamajig has flipped over? Have you been working around the throttle linkage on the carb lately? There is a part that will sometimes flip over and changes the way that the throttle works. Resistance will be hard, and performance will be down.

There are photos of this on Carl's website, but I can't find the linky for it.... Somebody clarify what my drunk mind is trying to relay to this guy...
