If I build a block with 12a side plates and 13B housings, will a s5 T2 lower intake manifold bolt up to the block? I am almost sure the manifold will have to be port matched but are the bolt hole locations the same?

 

I think it will bolt up, but I gotta ask WHY? You should really just get tII block in the first place man.

 

the 12a and 84-92 engines have different patterns, at the lim to engine. you could do a little welding and make it fit, but thats a lot of work...

 

Alright, thanks for the response. I can get the parts to make a pre-85 4-port for next to nothing but I don't want to go thru custom welding and all that. t2 cores are hard to come by.

 

I don't recall it being a problem. I lucked into a 4-port setup in a parts car I bought, but was looking to build a 4-port using the 12A plates and SE housings. Couldn't you use pre-86 housings and still get away with it? I'll be selling a Holley 650 4-port carb and manifold here soon, but don't know if it would fit your block (depends on how you build it).
