PP Housing Condition

Hi all,

I’ve got some PP housings that I’m looking to put to use in a build for my 1st gen. The chrome on them is in near perfect condition, no chatter marks, very smooth across the whole width of the housing. However, right at the edges there are a couple of spots where the chrome has been worn down.
It doesn’t look like flaking, more like heavy wear. The two examples in the photos are about 1.5 to 2mm wide. Other than a few of these spots, the housings are perfect. Are the housings still useable?

I'd run that even though that is close to the intake.
