? on power window

Guys I have an 85 model with power windows they are driving me crazy. To buy the complete system ( window motor and window rail) is kind of expensive. I want to buy the manual window rail and the crank handle, will it fit in my car? Its much cheaper to make the windows manual powered, and forget about the power windows...Have anyone done this before.....

What exactly is wrong with the power windows and why are they driving you crazy?
I just took the manual ones off and put on power

Is the retaining bolt loose, causing the glass to come up crooked and bind?

the door panels are different. your crank will hit the arm rest.
i hate power windows too.
one thing you can do is clean the gunk off the teeth and make sure everything is tight.
also the higher amp alt upgrade will make them go up and down better.

I've done several power windows and I like them better because they will work smoother longer. The trick is to first put in a new OEM channel seal, 58-605C-8871, from mazdatrix (not the BD seal that binds) as well as the OEM inner and outer glass scraper seals. Sometimes it helps to get a couple new those plastic grommets that mount the glass to the support bar.

Pretty easy to adjust if you think about it. I squirt a little silicon spray lube in the channel after installation.

While you've got the panel off, install a power lock solenoid from one of those $50 doorlock remote kits on eBay and fish the wires thru the jamb into the cockpit so you can finish installing the remote when you're ready. it's a nice convenience (especially if you've been stuck with 2 different keys for your locks) and pretty cheap.

I keep a spare driverside motor and regulator (booty from a JY run) for PM, but the only regulator I've ever replaced was on a manual window. It's easier to over-crank a manual, but the power window just poops out when it needs maintenance.
