Engine Bay
Nice Engine Bay Max. I am envious...for now.
On a slightly different topic, - How did you get it that way?
This question applies to enyone who can offer good advice, not just Max.
I just got a new SE that was female owned and driven for 17 years
(original owner). The car is perfect, but the engine bay is very dusty
(not oily) from the dirt road she lived on. This will be my turbo car.
(to be built by Crispeed)
What do you use to clean the engine compartment?
Gunk? Degreaser? Simple Green? Tilex?
What Tools do you use?
Pressure cleaner? Rags? Tooth Brushes? Q-Tips?
What did you use for the *extra* hard to reach places?
Can I just cover a couple of things and hose the Sh*t out of it?
At the moment mine is bone stock, but runs well. I don't want to
screw anything up by wetting it unneccesarily.
Thanks in advance...

Directfreak my engine bay looks like a warzone when I got the car. 3 years later, it looks like the above pic.
I used everything from Simple Green, Engine gunk, toothbrushes, brass and steel brushes. covered some electrical things, hosed it down. scrub, scrub, spray, scrub, rinse and repeat.
then pulled things off painted, polished, cleaned spaces that opened up.
its ALOT of work, but I think its worth it when I open the hood for people.
and thats my old car, my new engine bay will look twice as nice. but will have to wait till summer for pix

Wow... looking at that, it's like the 13B-RE was designed for the 1st-gen! I mean the way the intake manifold snakes around perfectly to clear the strut tower. And then it only needs some gentle bends to go from the intercooler (mounted conveniently in the big gaping empty spot in front of the radiator) to the intake manifold. Nice!

Who cares at least it is in!!!!!!
You're Kidding right?!
I guess Felix did a pretty good job at cutting and pasting because some people have seemed to buy it, even though the specifically states that he "didn't put the engine back far enough" (in the picture).
Good luck with that setzep and make sure you take many, many pictures to complement the "how-to" articles.
We're all going to want one afterall..
