Talking Post if you love your seven.

I've come to realize that there's almost always a thread about someone's car breaking down, or some issues with the electrical or somthing that just isn't working right.

I'm glad to say this is not one of those threads. Actually I decided to post about how great my car has been running latley. I've fixed all the mechanical issues, eliminated the heater core (started leaking) and now it's been running like a champ for about a month or so.

I even got rid of the broom stick hood prop in favor of the stock one.

I just Love my FB!!!!!Anyone else?

I love my FB too. Even though she could use some paint, and bondy work. And a racing beat header, and some electrical work, new tierod ends, and more. I love her, they way I should love my gf.

I love my FB. She hasn't given me any problems lately and now she's getting a brand new Nikki carb and an S4 TII alternator. I'm really gonna love her when she's done.

I love my 7. I've had it for about 5 years now, did springs/shocks then swaybars. Went from stock 12A carby to EFI 13B bridgeport. Now running a 13B PP with EFI I changed to FD front calipers with FC slotted discs, had a recent respray, picked up a PWR alloy radiator for a nice price. Just put some reclinable Sparco's in the old girl and now I'm pretty damn happy with it.

i love my car. it doesn't have any of that^^. But i couldn't wish for a better car. Yes it needs a little work but what relationship doesn't. Atleast it doesn't try to pick fights with me like my woman does. Also, its not like it will ever cheat on me. By the way beef your rex is sexy. Sorry man i feel like i'm hittin on your woman.....lol.

mmm....I love my seven. Doesnt ever yell at me, or start crying...So i decided to love it back and have been spending every free moment for the past couple days cleaning up her engine bay and tending to her dent in the passenger door.

I've loved my 7 for almost 18 years now, and even though her motor is in pieces in the garage and her new housings are sitting under my bed, I still love her.

BTW, check the last line in my sig for the words from the all-knowing Jeremy Clarkson.

I love my 7, even though its been in pieces for most of the time I have owned the car. I've had it about 3 years now. Hard to believe its been that long, and its also hard to believe this car was once destined for the junkyard because of rust. I could never sell my 7. I've put way too much money and time into it. I estimate I've currently got at least $5000 in it, with a good $1000 more to get it drivable again. I can't even begin to guess how many hours of work I've put into this car, but there was one point when I was working on it on average about 4 hours a day, for a good 4 months. I guess I've got about 400 hours of work into it, mabey more. I could never sell this car and regain my money, but what would wreck me even more is the regret of selling it. I am getting sick of working on it, I just wanna drive it at this point, but what keeps me going is knowing that one day I will be able to drive the car, and it will be just the way i want it.

LOL my love for this car is already unmeasurable, i agree on the **** comparison. I ride my 7 like a *****, never back down, and once and a while give her a good slap to know shes doing well. Only problem i have with mine is that stupid rusted piece that goes around the tail pipe and a few dings. Other than that...minus the idling problem, shes my dream car.

I love my car. I couldn't imagine getting rid of either one of my FB's, even if my engine in one is in pieces in my garage, and my other one has random little problems constantly popping up. I drive my '84 everyday, and more than likely for at least 2 hours on end. I couldn't imagine not having one to drive.

Hey guys,

Just want to let you know there's an RX7 girl out here who loves her car to pieces!! I wash her at least once a week, whether she needs it or not, and always look back to stare at her after I park and have to walk away from her. What can I say? RX7 love!!!! Man, I just seriously LOVE my car. I love the way she looks, I LOVE the ways she drives, I LOVE the way she sounds...there is just something so magical about driving her. I can't wait to add another first gen to my collection!

Tammie

"Love your 7" - Sounds like a fetish site

I have owned a lot of rotary cars, including about 10 1st gen rx-7s. I bought them wrecked for years and rebuilt them. I currently have two, both 1984 GSLs, which I bought with dead motors, both with very low chassis miles. I plan to keep at least one them. There is just no other sports car that comes close for the money.

My apologies to the purists, I have to say the one I have now with the V8 is the most fun car to drive that I have owned, and I have had a lot of sports cars - MG, Triumph, Jag, Alfas, Porsches - mostly before you were born, of course.

Beef - your car is beautiful, but if it were mine, I would have my machinist make some billet caps for the wheel centers.
