is it possible?

okay me and my bro took everything that isnt needed in the gslse, we took off the fuel injection, and put on a weber 45dcoe, im having trouble passing emissions in tennessee, alot of people tell me that if i get an air pump id be okay, now would an airpump hook up to my car with all the stuff i took out? and how much more would it help?

It would probaly help since it is pushing air into your exhaust. Kind of dilutes the air. It should mount up in the original spot with out a problem but you need to have a pipe welded into your exhaustfor thye sir flow through. The smog pump is like a turbo in the same aspect.

Well, since you no longer have an ACV, the air pump would have to be connected directly to the catalytic converter, at least for the duration of the test. I have read that pumping air continuously into the catcon might overheat it, but all I've seen is anecdotal - no one's ever actually done it and killed one.

god i want to keep my car so much, but its a money pit. its my 3rd rx7 and 2nd gslse, im sure ill get another, but first i have to get a good running emission passing car. ill be asking 2200$ maybe 2000$. im in nashville.
