Tried swearing at it?

You may have better results if you try threatening it in Japanese.

"Are-oo ix se-he-nu wo-du-chi-pu." might work. My Japanese is a tad rusty.

I just used a 1/2" drive breaker bar, and since my rears were out of the car, a pinion holding tool that my dad made. The nice thing about them being out of the car is that you can put all your weight on the breaker bar.

for bolts under like that I have a little trick that i get made fun of for, but oh well.

Get a wrench on the bolt and face the wrench close to horizontal, so when you push up the bolt will losen. Then get a jack (yeah what you lift your car with) and put it under the wrench, then start jacking the wrench up to loosen the bolt.

That is how i usually get those pesky rusted *** exhaust bolts off.

give it a shot

Dont know if this will help but cant hurt.

If you can, get a torch (little portable job) and a piece of regular wax. Get the wax above the threads and heat the bolt/nut. The wax should leach up the threads and when it cools, comes right off.

Got this trick from one of the local salvage yards.

I just slap a wrench on those bolts, get as much room as I can for a small sledge type hammer.....and WHACK!

For whatever reason, my impact wrench is dead....so that came in very handy when doing my suspension swap.

Its also how I got the flywheel nut off my FC engine.
