I've got my 12A halfway apart and then next thing I am going to be doing is porting the exhaust and I am wondering if you think i should use the mazdatrix templates or the racing beat ones. which ones are bigger? I want to get a significant power boost but I dont want TOO peaky of a powerband because this is a daily driver. thanks in advance.

It is my understanding they are identical. Why do you want to port just the exhaust?

 

im not just porting the exhaust, im working on that first and then when i get it done i am going to start the intake - the exhaust seems alot easier so im doing that first

 

Just a personal opinion, but I found the intake to be easier myself. Are you replacing either of your rotor housings? If so, use one of your old ones as a practice piece, it really helps.

 

I was told that MazdaTrix just re-sells RB templates through their site like the exhaust and other stuff.
