Unhappy porting motor today hopefully need info

Im rebuilding and porting an 87 t2 motor for my 84 se. Im porting using a RB template. I was looking at the plates as I was getting ready to start I realized (DUH) that the ports in the center plate are way smaller than those in the two end plates. I lined the template up on both the side and center plate and it just seemed like a lot of metal to be removed. My question stupid as it may be is, do you port all 4 faces of the plates to the same template or are the ports in the center plate left alone or ported to a different size?

I posted this earlier in the tech section but Im kinda in a hurry so I figured I put it here as well was hoping to have them done today.

p.s. yes I did search but couldn't find what I needed.

Question

I looked at some pics but its hard to tell. It looks to me like a completely diferent port shape is used for the center plate. Should this have come with my templates or am I just the one retard that can't figure out how to port an engine?

If you want you can port them the same, if there's enough casting.
