Question porting 12a

iam rebuilding a 12a and going to do a port job. iam going with a street port. with a webber carb. dont know what setup yet. i.e 47-51 mm webber i want a down draft. this car will be used on the street but not as a DD. should i port the exghuast? the 12a's dont have the defusers like the 13b N/A's. i know they say you dont gain much from removing the difusers and its a crap louder! would this be the same case with the 12a? thanks

Diffusers didn't come into play until the NA FC's, prior to that all of the sleeves were straight through. Opening up the exaust ports a liitle will help. No need to remove the sleeves.
